Movement For Life
Pilates is a method of moderate intensity, low impact mind-body conditioning exercise that can be modified to suit all ages and abilities. Pilates can be taught in general Group Classes to suit a variety of abilities
or in a Private Tuition 1-1 setting, where there can be far closer supervision, encouragement and corrections can be made whilst working through a personalised programme of exercises created by the Instructor to suit the individuals needs. This is often a more favourable approach, if an individual is recovering post injury, illness or in situations where extra care and attention is needed.
Originally developed by Joseph Pilates, he created the system of exercises in the 1920's, at first helping Patients in an Infirmary to regain strength and mobility, eventually he set up his Studio in New York, where his method attracted many Dancers, Actors, Athletes and Gymnasts.
The focus is on strengthening the core muscles that support the Abdomen, Pelvis and Spine, whilst encouraging free movement and balanced function throughout the whole body.

Classes missed for any reason cannot be refunded or carried forward.
If the Instructor is unwell or cannot be present to operate the class for any reason, you will be offered a refund of the class or a credit.
Pilates group classes are generally designed for reasonably active, mobile people, without recent injury, who are able to get up and down from the floor Mat safely without assistance. .
